The boxed warning emphasizes that Xolair, used to treat patients with asthma related to allergies, may cause anaphylaxis. read more

FDA Approves New Food Allergy Labeling Law - Effective January 1, 2006, manufacturers are required to list the presence of certain ingredients (such as milk, peanuts, egg, tree nuts, shellfish, fish, wheat and soy) in food products. They will also be required to list any of the aforementioned ingredients when used as flavorings, additives, or colorings in food products. The purpose of this law is to protect allergic patients from unseen and/or unintentional exposures. read more
